Water is the single most important element in sustaining life on planet Earth. No wonder it’s the thing our bodies need more than anything else. Drinking 8 glasses of water each day helps keep your skin clear, supports good metabolism, gives you more energy, boosts your immune system, and actually puts you in a better mood. That’s enough convincing for us… how about you?

Oh, and if you can, opt for filling up reusable water bottles from filtered taps. Plastic water bottles are creating a huge environmental problem. According to Tree Hugger, “Approximately 1.5 million barrels of oil—enough to run 100,000 cars for a whole year—are used to make plastic water bottles, while transporting these bottles burns even more oil. Nearly 90 percent of water bottles are not recycled and wind up in landfills where it takes thousands of years for the plastic to decompose.”
