It’s March, and you know what that means…Girl Scout Cookie time! (We sure do love those Thin Mints!) But today, March 12, is about more than just a good cookie. It’s Girl Scouts Day, which celebrates the creation of the very first Girl Scout group in 99 years ago!

Though its beginnings were humble – founder Juliette Gordon Low brought together 18 girls in Savannah, Georgia in 1912 – today there are 2.3 million Girl Scouts! That’s 2.3 million girls who are getting to experience the organization’s mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Congratulations to the Girl Scouts and to everyone who supports and volunteers with this great organization! To find out more, visit the Girl Scouts site.
