It’s been more than a week since Steve Jobs died, but we’re still thinking a lot about him. He left an amazing impact on our culture thanks to Apple’s products – and his own creative brain that encouraged all of us to think outside the box.
For this Friday 5, we rounded up five of our favorite quotes from Jobs. Which one do you find most inspiring?
ONE: “…Focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
TWO: “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”
THREE: “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful … that’s what matters to me.”
FOUR: “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
FIVE: “There is no reason not to follow your heart.”
