Networking: Is it Phony or Natural? {podcast} - Like a Boss Girls

we're dying to share something with you...our new site! coming soon...

Are you one of those people who thinks networking feels sleazy? I’ll admit, a few years ago when I was starting as a Nickelodeon intern I did too. But now I realize it’s actually a lot more human than we think.

In our inaugural episode of our podcast, I chat with Go-Getter Girl and Millennial Branding Strategist Shinjini Das on some of your networking questions.

How can I get over the mindset that networking is fake and only for those who want something from someone else?

I don’t like talking to people I don’t know, so how do I get over my fears and network while having fun?

What is the correct way to follow-up after a networking event or seminar as in how do I close the loop?

I've had the entrepreneur's spirit since I was 9 and contracted out chores to my older sister for a profit, hehe :) I run Cloud 90s which is a shop for nostalgic 90s kids, and Hello Lucy Design  where I offer web design & videography. My motto is “Why the heck not?”. That mindset has gotten this midwestern girl to study at NYU for Film & TV, and work at places like the BBC in London, Nickelodeon in NYC, the Celebrity Apprentice, and Jazz Aspen Snowmass in Colorado.
